The Otesha Project UK

The Project's aim is to tackle big issues such as climate change, injustice and poverty in creative ways, starting with their own lives and actions

The Otesha Project is a not-for-profit organisation that strives to promote the benefits of sustainable living using bike powered theatre. The project was established in 2002 by friends Jocelyn Land-Murphy and Jessica Lax, who wanted to create a movement of young people and inspire them to take positive action in their everyday lives in order to create a fairer, cleaner and greener world.

Theatrical cycle tours still remain at the heart of the Otesha Project UK and every year a team of volunteers aged 18-28 pedal across the country stopping at schools, youth clubs and festivals to perform the Otesha Morning Choices play, which explores the themes of fashion, food, media, trade, transport and money.
