Cycling Advocates Network

Cycling Advocates Network works with Frocks on Bikes to promote everyday, relaxed cycling.

Cycling Advocates Network (CAN) is New Zealand’s national network of cycling advocates, a not-for-profit organisation that has a number of far reaching goals aimed at elevating the role of pedal power, in all its forms, within the country. The organisation aims to be the “voice for cyclists in promoting cycling as an enjoyable, healthy, low cost and environmentally-friendly activity, and as a key part of an integrated, sustainable transport system.” To help spread the word, CAN puts on a number of events around the North and South Island, such as the “Frocks on Bikes” event, pictured, and their ‘CAN do’ Advocacy Workshops, bringing groups together to share best practices, and showcasing what local groups have achieved.
