Bicycles for Humanity

Founded in 2005, Bicycles for Humanity has grown massively, from a single container of bicycles saved from landfill and sent from Canada to Africa, to 15,000 bikes shipped from across the globe in 2012. To date, 75,000 bikes have found new homes around the developing world.

Bicycles for Humanity has developed into a number of ‘chapters’ currently spread throughout 12 countries. B4H has also developed new initiatives, such as the Bicycle Empowerment Centres, where the shipping containers themselves are converted into bike workshops.
